Typical symptoms that can indicate pain resulting from a muscular injury:
If you are experiencing any of the above with your horse, you have a problem!
Sometimes these issues will resolve themselves when a horse is rested and turned away for a prolonged period, but the wise horse person gets to the bottom of the problem first. Provided your veterinarian has ruled out any more serious health issues, a massage can help to get the muscle tissues healthy and back to their full functionality.
Some Benefits of regular Equine Massage:
The treatment process takes into account every aspect of the horse's life and environment, ie. history, turn-out, environment, tack.
After an initial telephone consultation a visit is arranged and the horse and it's environment assessed. The horse will receive a full massage and stretches, ususlyy taking about 60 minutes. You will be advised of follow-up care and exercise, and if deemed necessary, referred to an additional specialist.
I am also available for talks and demonstrations as well as structured workshops on the subject.
