Warbonnets and Medicine Hats:
Both of these unusual color patterns were considered sacred by the Native American tribes. They were highly prized as war horses and buffalo hunters, as well as being used for ceremony. It was thought that they had the protection of the Spirits.
The difference between the 2 patterns is that the Warbonnet has less colour than the Medicine Hat.
Many breeders breeding for colour can go years without getting even one medicine hat. I feel very blessed to have had both of my favourite colour patterns born this year.
